First of all we just want to say thank you to everyone who voted for our blogs in the first round of the Canadian Blog Awards. We are pleased to announce that all three of our web sites made it to the final round of voting. So a big round of applause is due to all three.

But, that doesn’t mean our work is done. The final round of the Canadian Blog Awards has just started and we again need some help from our friends.

Voting for the competition ends on noon Oct 26 and you are now allowed to vote for each blog more than once. You just have to wait 24hrs to revote. So please if you do have a moment, please give some of our most beloved blogs a vote!

So to start this newly minted shortened week off, Team Armadillo is proud to announce that three of our blog projects are now nominated for Canadian Blog Awards.

Yes, Glutastic.com, Mike’s Bloggity Blog, and The Review Crew are all nominated for Canadian blog awards. For those unfamiliar the Canadian Blog Awards, they are a fan driven national award and are a bit of a big deal in the Canadian Blogging world.

SXSW09: Core Conversation Sunday - Blogging And It's Future | Mar 16, 02:42 PM

Sunday morning was a bit of a white wash and continued the tradition of picking panels that were not the talk of the day. Including walking to, but not into the Is Spec Design Evil? and then opting for a bit more downtime.

To combat the losing streak it was decided that attending some core conversations on blogging would be the perfect ailment for the panel woes.

Core Conversations are round table discussions with experts on a variety of topics. The ones chosen for Saturday were Is the Personal Blog Dead? and Blogging Skills and Beyond. Both were intriguing in regards to the development of a online Personal brand and the evolution of the blog. But the main synopsis of both panels was that the concept of a Personal Blog has transformed from a daily log of your life into an element of a selection of applications that creates an online personal brand.

Working together with Caitlin Currie (a very close friend to the company), Armadillo Studios Inc. proudly launches Glutastic.com – A new lifestyle site about living with Celiac Disease.

Utilizing the Wordpress Content Management System, we handcrafted a template for Glutastic.com. With this site, Caitlin wanted to create a little enclave on the web to provide important information about Celiac Disease and the struggles of living a Gluten-free lifestyle to the 20-30 year age bracket. The catch was she wanted to bring the information with a lighthearted and positive outlook and provide more exposure to the disease in the Calgary region.
